Erika Begay

On November 4, 2025, voters across Coconino County took part in an important local election that focused on community services, education, and public safety. Unlike statewide elections, this one centered on two ballot questions that could affect everyday life for residents. The election gave the Coconino County residents a chance to decide how public money should be used to support schools, emergency services, and future improvements in the county.

The Three Sisters Mural

Lillee Martin

Over the course of a few years, Flagstaff High School has begun decorating its campus with beautiful art. Ranging from the bookshelf mural in the 100 hallway to the aquatic masterpiece in the 500 hallway, it is clear the school is not shying away from incorporating the artistic expression of the student body into the environment of the facility. The most recent masterpiece was created by the team at Terra BIRDS—Flagstaff, Arizona based nonprofit organization collective—as well as a group of around 40 FHS students (biology students in collaboration with members of the Native American Club) and is located in Ms. Musta’s science classroom in the 800 hallway.

All of the students in the cast are very excited to perform the play in December when the shows are supposed to be. The play is being directed by the amazing Mrs. Murray who helped direct last year’s production of Chicago.

The Great Impact of Artificial Intelligence

Lillee Martin

Artificial Intelligence is on the rise across the globe, and hidden around every corner: infiltrating the very structure of businesses, educational institutions, corporations, etc. The prospect of AI has been widely debated for decades, with fears revolving around societally destructive robots and corrupt technology manifesting across the media being compared to the nearly secretive—but ridiculously prominent—presence of its product everywhere you look.
